Conicosia pugioniformis

Scientific name

It is a short-lived perennial with yellow flowers have many rows of fine petals that open in the afternoon. The flower is up to 8cm wide and has rings of up to 250 thin petals. The trailing branches are erect and fleshy. The three-angled leaves that suggest its Afrikaans name varkslaai (pig salad).
