Communitree is happy to announce to its volunteers and network that fynbos conservation horticulturist Julia September will be teaching a very interesting spring propagation workshop: the secret life of seeds. This event is geared towards all budding gardeners who want to learn to propagate fynbos plants by seed... either for their own garden or for greening projects in their communities. Spring is a great season for planting seeds, so be sure not to miss out on this great opportunity!
This workshop consists of a single 2-hour session, and will cover topics such as the biology of seeds, smoke primers, breaking dormancy, soils for seeds, and timing. There are two possible time slots available:
SATURDAY OPTION
10:00-12:00 on Saturday October 16
WEDNESDAY OPTION
10:00-12:00 on Wednesday October 20
The event takes place in Southfield. The cost for the session is R250 per person. Space is limited - sign up soon!
