Cape Clawless Otter spotted along the Liesbeek river!

Jun 18, 2019

On our way to do a morning bird monitoring session at our N2 patch, we spotted a Cape Clawless Otter (Aonyx capensis) along the Liesbeek river in Mowbray. What a great sighting! It is amazing how these and other animals still manage to live in urbanised and canalised rivers like the Liesbeek river in Cape Town. This is truely an inspiration to us all to become more aware of and foster appreciation for the nature that still remains in the city.
