There is a small park next to the railway station in Rosebank that is overgrown with grass and in need of a clean-up and some fresh planting. We would like to plant locally indigenous plants in this park so as to support local populations of birds and other creatures, along with making the space more usable for people.
This week we will be doing some cleaning and planting and Ryan Road Park and Alma Park. At Alma Park we'll focus on the rockery and we'll see if we can put in some new plants there.
However, we'll only work here for one hour until 15.00 and then head over to Struebens Road in Mowbray. Here, outside 23 Strubens Road there will be a clean-up campaign that we'll join for an hour.
You can join us at 14.00 at Alma Park or come join at 15.00 at Struebens! Bring garbage bags, rakes, gloves, and a spade if you have it. If not, no worries, only your enthusiasm is what really matters!
