The Westerford Triangle is a former section of the Common between Park Road robots and the Westerford shopping centre that still has suitable soil for locally indigenous Cape Flats Sand Fynbos plants because of its historical link with Rondebosch Common. It has been fiercely defended from unsuitable use over the years by Friends of Rondebosch Common and is now in need of further protection and plant stock rejuvenation.
